About this event

This is a casual event for creating more fanworks for SK8 the Infinity in any pairing, in any medium. Join us in earning 1,000,000 fun, imaginary internet points (ie. skating 1 million meters) together!Timeline:
○ Feb. 2, 2025 - The AO3 Collection is open for posting unrevealed works.
○ Feb. 8th, 2025 - The AO3 Collection will be revealed and posting officially starts. The race is on!
○ Aug. 8th, 2025 - Time's up! Did we make it to 1 Million??
○ Aug. 9th, 2025 - The AO3 Collection will be closed to new works being posted.

Step 1: Make a thing!
This can be any fanwork (eg fic, fanart, podfic, cosplay, fanvid, meta, etc) of any length.Step 2: Post the thing!
You can post to this collection on AO3, but you can also post elsewhere in addition or instead of AO3.Step 3: Tell us about the thing!
Complete the submission form for each item you create. It is optional to tell us how many points/meters it's worth (see scoring); we'll tally it for you if you don't know.Step 4: Watch the totals grow!
Follow us on social media, where we'll be updating our total collective points (aka meters we've skated together).Step 5: Profit!

Collaboration Multiplier
This applies to all fanworks: If your work is inspired by another work shared during this event, you gain 2x the points.Written Fanwork (eg fanfic, meta, not!fic, translation, etc)
- 1 word = 1 meterPodfic
○ Cold read (ie. no or limited editing): 1 word = 1 meter
○ Podfic with full production (ie. with editing and music): 1 word = 3 meters
○ Filk (fully written and recorded fan music): 1 word = 4 metersFanart
○ Sketch: 1,000 meters per character
○ Line art: 2,000 meters per character
+1,000 meters for simple background art
+5,000 for complex background art
X2 of above base for full body pose
X2 for flat color
X3 for fully rendered color
+5,000 meters for pictures of physical art mediumFanvid
Per 10 seconds of edited video (like a fanvid with cuts) = 1,000 meters
Per 30 second of unedited video (like clipping out your favorite scene with no cuts between) = 1,000 metersCosplay
